Transit is a customs mode under which goods and / or commercial vehicles are moved under customs control between two revenue and levies of Ukraine or within the area of activity of one revenue and levies authority without any use of those goods, without payment of customs duties and without the application of measures of non-tariff regulation of foreign economic activity.

The customs transit procedure applies to goods which are moved: 1) transit passage from the point of import (pass) to the customs territory of Ukraine to the point of export (pass) outside the customs territory of Ukraine (including within one crossing point across the state border of Ukraine); 2) by internal transit or cabotage: - from the point of import (pass) to the customs territory of Ukraine to the body of revenue and duties located in the customs territory of Ukraine; - from the body of revenues and duties located in the customs territory of Ukraine to the point of export (pass) outside the customs territory of Ukraine; - from one point located in the customs territory of Ukraine to another point located in the customs territory of Ukraine, including if part of this movement passes outside the customs territory of Ukraine; - from an artificial island, installation or structure established in the exclusive (maritime) economic zone of Ukraine to which the exclusive jurisdiction of Ukraine extends, to a revenue and levies body located in the territory of Ukraine occupied by land and backwards.

"Temporary admission" is a customs mode under which foreign goods, commercial vehicles are imported for specific purposes into the customs territory of Ukraine with conditional full or partial exemption from customs duties and without measures of non-tariff regulation of foreign economic activity and will be re-exported until the expiry of the prescribed period without any modification, except for ordinary wear resulting from their use.

"Customs warehouse" is a customs mode according to which foreign or Ukrainian goods are stored under customs control with conditional complete exemption from customs duties and without measures of non-tariff regulation of foreign economic activity.

The placing of goods in the customs mode of processing in the customs territory is subject to conditional complete exemption from customs duties. Measures to ensure compliance with the customs regime of processing in the customs territory shall apply to the goods specified by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
